You can forget about those craft tables in each room or individual storage box for each craft material. You might be thinking…”It’s just a craft storage cabinet, what’s the big deal?”….but friends, it’s so much more than just that! And lo and behold, DreamBox by Create Room became our dream craft table (and so much more!)įrom the moment that the package arrived at our house, I was beyond giddy with excitement to set up this amazing single storage cabinet perfect for small spaces. Since we’ve been spending a ton of time indoors lately crafting, it was super important to have a safe space in the house so that the kids knew exactly where all their crafting supplies were. The glitter, the googly eyes, the feathers, the pipe cleaners…all of it needed a space to be and fast. I’m not an overdramatic person when it comes to wanting organization to happen but when it came to our crafting supplies, something had to change. But can I just say that all of those craft supplies being strewn about the house can be downright chaotic and a tad bit messy? It’s no secret that our life focuses a lot on crafting and making memories by doing fun craft activities and things together around the house. See how we use our DreamBox daily in work and raising creative kids. In my Ikea Vittsjo hack, I did not change the bottom shelf of the coffee table, though if you want to get more creative, you could use a marble contact paper or just replace with another glass shelf.Follow us on Instagram for more fun ideas for kids! Watch the video in this post to see this amazing craft storage cabinet in action! This amazing DreamBox Craft Storage Cabinet has transformed our family’s creativity for the better. At first, I did not use one and had to repaint after 6 months or so since the paint was fading from wear and tear. I would also recommend using a sealer to keep the paint from fading away. Just turn the table around a couple of times to get all the sides. If you have the piece assembled already, it’s not a problem at all. I usually give it 3 coats, let it dry fully between coats and then assemble. That way you can lay all the parts in a flat surface and spray evenly. Keep in mind that it is better to spray paint before assembling the piece.

Use a couple of coats until you are satisfied with the results.Make sure to let each part dry before turning them Spray all part using the spray paint instructions.Lay all the parts that will be spray painted in a drop cloth (or cardboard).I love it because it’s more of a muted gold color, however, it does have some green undertones to it. I have used it in both the coffee table and shelf shown here. My favorite gold spray paint is the Rust-Oleum gold paint. Since I keep getting questions on this table, I’m doing a quick post to share the steps and the spray paint I’ve used.

With just a can of spray paint I was able to totally transform these two pieces from drab to fab! One of the easiest Ikea coffee table hacks I have done so far is the Ikea Vittsjo coffee table and Vittsjo shelf unit transformation.
